Date: Nov. 21,1989

The meeting was called to order at 8:12 P.M. by Commodore Raynor with 9 members present. The minutes of the last meeting and the Treasurers report were read and accepted. Bills were presented and a motion was made and carried to pay all bills.

OLD BUSINESS:

Jed Lee made a suggestion to move the year end party up to an earlier date as to get more people to come, but after a lengthy discussion, it was agreed that we would wait to see if there will be any ice to sail on before we make any plans for the party.

NEW BUSINESS:

A discussion ensued on how the club could get more members and more recognition in the community. It was suggested that maybe we should show our boats more to the general public or offering rides to people. It was also suggested that we sail off the club so people could better see what a scooter is, however, the question of liability rose and no one knew just how much liability we could be responsible for. It was also mentioned that if we were to put up warning signs and or buoys we would be taking responsibility into our own hands.

GOOD OF THE CLUB:

Jed Lee will be the refreshment committee for the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:03 P.M.

Respectfully Submitted,

Roy Mawhinney-Secretary
