We stopped down at the bay this morning and of course ran into the Hermus boys. They said that they had just checked the ice and report 4 to 5 inches of ice with about an inch of hard on top. The ice is still all in one piece, no holes, but its off the beach about 5 or 6 feet. The biggest problem will be getting on the ice. The wind was blowing cool and strong NNW and Ted Hermus feels one more cold night should improve conditions.
